The Maharishi Effect: A Quick Reminder
In our previous article, we discussed the remarkable Maharishi Effect, a phenomenon suggesting that when a small percentage of the population (specifically, the square root of 1% (or often simply 1% for clear public communication) of a city’s population) practices Transcendental Meditation (TM), it can lead to a measurable improvement in the quality of life for the entire city, evidenced by a reduction in crime rates, accidents, and conflict.
This effect is not based on direct interaction; it’s about generating a collective field of coherence; a new energetic configuration within a small number of the people in any particular area, that permeates the configuration of an area and can actually change the social atmosphere. Your inner state is far more powerful than you imagine!
Your Mental State: The Engine of Change
The core mental state achieved through Transcendental Meditation is one of “Restful Alertness” or “Turiya” (the fourth major state of consciousness).
This state is a profound physiological rest paired with fully awake, expanded, and highly coherent mental awareness. The mind transcends active thought and rests in the unified field of consciousness; a field described as pure bliss, infinite creativity, and intelligence.
When you regularly access this state, you naturally radiate a profound inner coherence that is stable, resilient, and non-reactive. This stable, positive energy counteracts the collective stress, angst, and fear that often fuel social breakdown and crime, making the individual a “beacon of light” and a harmonious contributor to their community. You are in a sense fighting the Archonic influence, not by demonstration or trying to push your narrative on someone else, but by simply fixing your own energetic configuration, and allowing the world to be and do what it must.
Finding Your Authentic Coherence: The Inner Compass
Achieving the state of Transcendental Meditation (TM) can feel hard to sustain in daily life, yet we all have the power to reach better, more coherent states. This is not about faking constant positivity, which only breeds frustration and inauthenticity.
Personal coherence begins with radical acknowledgment of your current feelings. Emotions are not random; they are guides to your inner self, revealing your beliefs, limitations, and current energetic state. Ignoring them blocks growth; exploring them opens the way to transformation.
Your emotions act as internal feedback. When you feel discomfort or stress, those signals reveal misalignments between your beliefs, circumstances, and true values. Paying close attention to them helps uncover where your experience and authentic self diverge. Awareness of this gap is the first step toward meaningful change.
Once misalignment is recognized, transformation begins with the principle that Desire is Action. Authentic desire for a more coherent state initiates a change in your energetic configuration. By focusing attention on this desired state, you amplify its presence. Sustained awareness strengthens this new internal pattern, producing external shifts: as your energy changes, your immediate world changes too, improving life for others.
The Maharishi Effect supports this: individual coherence fosters social coherence. Elevating your own resonance contributes to collective well-being.

THE ENERGETIC COHERENCE SCALE
Step 1: Acknowledge and Identify Unwanted Resonance
Your feelings are a direct message from your core self. What are these feelings trying to tell you about the energetic misalignment in your current beliefs or situation?
I am feeling:
Step 2: Declare Your Desire (Desire as Action) ✨
The moment you declare a desire for a better feeling, you initiate a change in your energetic configuration. **Desire is Action.** Identify the state or the situation you want.
I Desire to Feel:
Now, focus your **attention and awareness** on this desired feeling for 60 seconds. Layer energy upon it to bring it closer to your reality. Unrelenting focus brings about what you desire, whether it is a new mental state or a new situation that creates a better state within you.
Step 3: Reprogramming with the NLP Swish Pattern
If the focus of attention isn’t working for you, try using the **Swish Pattern** to interrupt a persistent negative pattern and rapidly replace it with your desired resourceful state. This is an internal wiring change performed visually. *Follow these steps quickly and emphatically:*
- Step A: The Trigger (Unwanted Image): Close your eyes and visualize the image or thought that represents your unwanted feeling (e.g., a mental image of your angry face, the place where you feel stress). Make this image **big, bright, and close to you**.
- **Step B: The Outcome (Desired Image):** Create a separate, vivid image of **yourself succeeding** in the desired state (e.g., you looking relaxed, radiating peace). Make this image initially **small, dark, and place it in the bottom corner of your visual field**.
- **Step C: The Swish!:** Take a breath, and then in a fraction of a second, yell **”SWISH!”** internally as the small Outcome image suddenly and explosively **grows large and bright**, completely replacing and pushing away the Trigger image.
- **Step D: Repeat:** Do this cycle (1, 2, SWISH!) rapidly and emphatically **5-7 times**, clearing your mind for a second between each repetition. The goal is for the negative Trigger image to instantly dissolve into the positive Outcome image.
Step 4: Anchor Your New Energetic Configuration ⚓
Use **NLP Anchoring** to create a stable, physical cue that allows you to access your **New Energetic Configuration** instantly and stabilize your resonance when you need it most.
- Step A: Recall the better feeling state: Close your eyes and vividly re-experience the new better feeling state after the Swish Exercise (from Step 3) at its absolute emotional peak. Intensify every detail: the sights, the sounds, and especially the internal physical feeling of that peace or relief.
- **Step B: Apply Anchor:** As the feeling reaches its absolute maximum (the emotional peak), **immediately and simultaneously** apply a unique, firm physical cue (e.g., firmly press your thumb and middle finger together on your non-dominant hand, or squeeze a specific spot on your forearm for three seconds).
- **Step C: Release and Clear:** Release the physical cue and clear your mind by looking around the room or counting to three.
- **Step D: Test & Use:** Fire your anchor (repeat the physical cue). Does the positive, coherent feeling return instantly? Use this anchor throughout the day to instantly reinforce your new resonance.
