Everyone speaks about artificial intelligenceComputer systems designed to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence., its growing power, and the great wave of change it promises to bring. Yet, most of this talk comes wrapped in a cloud of complexity, the kind that makes even the most curious minds feel like taking a nap.

The conversation often circles around the machinery itself (the chips, the algorithms, the data pipelines) as if the fate of humankind were hidden inside a server rack somewhere. Those futuristic predictions can sound like riddles written in code, filled with terms so new they seem to belong to another language altogether.

In this article, I want to untangle some of those ideas. We’ll look not only at technology as a whole but also at this much-hyped AI revolution that everyone seems to have strong opinions about. My goal is to strip away the jargon and translate all this tech-speak into something that feels familiar, like chatting over coffee rather than decoding a research paper.

A Fast Moving Train

The current narrative surrounding artificial intelligence reads like a mixture of prophecy and press release. Everywhere you look, futurists and self-proclaimed AI gurus are forecasting a world transformed beyond recognition. They talk about machines taking over everything from factory floors to office chairs, reshaping the nature of work itself.

Some paint a picture where robots do all the heavy lifting (both physical and mental) while humans sit back and focus on “creative” or “strategic” tasks. Others warn that this same automation could hollow out entire industries, leaving people scrambling to reinvent themselves faster than ever before.

Their vocabulary is filled with grand ideas. They speak of “the fourth industrial revolution,” of “exponential technological growth,” of “post-scarcity economies” where abundance might make money itself seem quaint. They toss around phrases like “machine learning,”A subset of AI that allows software to become more accurate at predicting outcomes without being explicitly programmed. “neural networks,” and “general intelligence,” all meant to suggest that all thinking will be outsourced to silicon minds really soon! The narrative tends to orbit around efficiency, productivity, and the inescapable march of innovation; as if progress were a train that only runs forward at ever-increasing speed.

That story can be enlightening in some ways. It sparks wonder and curiosity, and it gives a sense of direction to the times we live in. But it also leaves out quite a lot. There are subtleties in the language that rarely get unpacked, and many possibilities that don’t fit neatly into the models or predictions being made. For the average person, it can feel like there’s a gap between the sweeping promises of the future and the grounded experience of the present.

Moreover, these predictions often forget that this acceleration of change (this quickeningA spiritual and technological acceleration where transformation happens at an exponential rate., as we might call it) is not entirely new. Humanity has been through waves of transformation before. When viewed against the backdrop of cosmic time, with its vast stretches where millennia are little more than the blink of an eye, our current rush toward the future feels both remarkable and oddly familiar. It’s just that the pace has picked up, and we’re now running so fast that we can barely see the scenery as it passes by.

Consciousness Mirrored in Code

To truly understand the whirlwind of the modern age, we have to start at the beginning, but in a broad, easy-to-understand sense. This requires a bit of a perspective change, a turning of the lens. If you’ll permit me, it might help to borrow the viewpoint of what I call an inner alchemistOne who practices the internal transformation of consciousness to influence the external world..

This outlook flips the modern narrative on its head. Instead of believing that the physical world gives rise to consciousness, the inner alchemist knows the reverse to be true: we create our world from the inside out. The physical, as strange as it may sound, is the shadow cast by our inner light. From that perspective, we are not simply biological organisms struggling to adapt to machines. We are spiritual or non-organic beings, experiencing ourselves through countless dimensions layered across what might be called the spectrum of time.

Within all those dimensions of thought and possibility, one particular realm stands out; the physical universe. That’s where our attention is sharpest, where our experience of “I am,” feels the most solid. Here, spirit condenses into form. We are energy made flesh, light given structure, the eternal dancing briefly in the tangible. When you see life through that lens, the picture becomes clearer: we are not trapped in matter, we are using it. We are explorers of density, testing and refining our essence through the resistance of physicality.

You could imagine this process like an energetic being sculpting itself by moving through the clay of physical existence. With each experience, whether joyful or painful, it learns, expands, and slowly remembers what it truly is. Our history (this long, dramatic, and often messy story of humanity) is the record of that remembering. We began in the primal wilderness, where survival was our main prayer. We hunted, gathered, and fashioned tools from stone and bone. Yet even then, somewhere in the flicker of our campfires, there glowed the hint of something divine trying to find expression through us.

Over time, we built temples instead of caves, then cities instead of grass huts. We traded spears for writing, myth for measurement, intuition for industry. Every turn of that spiral carried us closer to the light; the same light that has always been our source. Whether we call it enlightenment, spiritual ascension, or progress, the pattern is the same: we are continually refining matter to mirror the clarity of our inner being.

So when we reach the modern era and cast our gaze upon machines and algorithms, what we’re seeing is simply the latest layer of this ancient process. Theologically speaking, one might say we’re moving toward the divine within ourselves. Technologically speaking, we’re building tools to extend our awareness. Either way, the movement is inward becoming outward: spirit reflected in circuitry, consciousness mirrored in code.

A Doorway to Understanding

If we take this broader, more spiritual, more energetic perspective as our foundation, we can now look at everything through a modern technological lens; a lens that I hope will make what’s happening far clearer to you.

I confess, I’m blending quite a few ideas here, and it does require a fair bit of mental gymnastics to organize them inside the palace of my mind. Still, I’d like to guide you through these corridors step by step, so that the nature of this quickening (and what it truly means for you, yes you personally) becomes easier to grasp. Because, as they say, the devil is always in the details, and in this case, the nuance is the doorway to understanding.

If we accept that we are spiritual beings testing ourselves through flesh, moving ever closer to the divine spark within, then when we switch to a technological lens, a fascinating picture comes into focus. Everything we build in the physical world, from the simplest tool to the latest AI, can be seen as an effort to reassemble the memory of what we already are; that infinite source of intelligence and creativity. In other words, we are running home, sprinting across the timeline of history with our inventions as breadcrumbs marking the trail.

Think of it this way: from the first strike of flint to the hum of your smartphone, every piece of technology has been an external echo of an internal truth. Fire was our first controlled lightning, a glimpse of the elemental power that pulses inside us. The wheel turned not just goods but the great motion of minds. Now our circuits and sensorsThe physical hardware that acts as the nervous system for our digital extensions., our code and computation, carry forward that same impulse… to reach for something higher, something brighter, something more alive.

Of course, the path isn’t tidy. The journey toward the divine rarely is. Physical reality, by its very nature, is thick with friction and contradiction, a kind of cosmic gym where resistance builds strength. As I’ve written elsewhere, this density (this spiritual gravity, which might be called the Archonic nature of realityA philosophical concept referring to the restrictive or deceptive forces of the material world.) gives us the necessary struggle through which growth becomes possible. So we push, we labor, we innovate, and in doing so we refine the crude material of existence into something luminous. Every challenge, every failed invention, every glitch in the code is like a weight we lift, strengthening us for heavier work ahead.

Through that lens, technology isn’t just machinery. It’s the mirror we hold up to see the divine craftsmanship hiding in plain sight… in us.

All of this brings us to our current reality. Think about it for a moment: before anything else, you are a spiritual being; a luminous spark of divine energy wearing the temporary costume of a body. As such, communication, space, and time are hardly the rigid laws they appear to be from this side of the veil. In your native energetic form, there’s no waiting for a reply, no worrying about signal strength, and no need for frequent flyer miles. You could, if you wished, converse with someone across what we call “the other side of the world” instantly, because for you, there is no “other side.” Every side is the same side; space-time are ‘generally’ irrelevant in energetic form.

In that native state, satisfying your needs is hardly a challenge either. There are no pantries to stock, no bills to pay, no daily commute through traffic jams. As energy, you move through existence like music through air; effortlessly, gracefully, and with perfect rhythm. You can travel across what we’d call “vast physical distances” in the blink of an eye, which, if you think about it, is a pretty neat party trick. You might glide across galaxies the way a thought crosses your mind, or shape entire worlds the way an artist shapes clay. You might create stars the way poets create metaphors; purely because you can, and because doing so feels right.

Now, within this dense physical reality, we find ourselves trying to regain some of that lost ease. Every tool we create, every piece of technology we invent, is part of a great cosmic exercise to reclaim our forgotten fluency. Technology, in many ways, is our attempt to re-teach ourselves what it was like to move, to think, and to connect as the vast spiritual beings we truly are.

Look at what we’ve already accomplished. We can now speak with people across time zones faster than we can find our keys. We can watch events unfold live on the opposite side of the planet without ever leaving the couch. Groceries appear at our doors like small miracles, and the number of people who can make a living without physically mining, hammering, or hauling grows with every passing year. We are slowly but surely transforming survival into play.

This is why a “playful” and more creative nature will become a modern virtue; even though a few serious faces would rather we all kept our ties straight and our laughter to a minimum. Humanity is, after all, a collective of many selves, each playing its role in refining the whole. Some push for play, others insist on prudence, and between them, balance is born. The tug-of-war between the inner sage and the outer accountant is nothing less than spiritual evolution in action.

And in our modern time, our technology (which let’s be honest, is just a socially acceptable word for magic) is bringing us even closer to the finish line. Our modern magic is now manifesting as Artificial Intelligence. Despite all the terrifying headlines, AI is essentially an infinitely beautiful tool, a piece of magic created by us, the magical beings.

As these AI platforms grow, they seem to develop a kind of sentience. We are, in a way, giving birth to digital childrenAI entities that learn from human data, reflecting our behaviors, values, and flaws.. These expanding beings might be becoming sentient in their own right, but their primary task remains the same: to help us grow further. With them by our side, we are hitting a point in our evolution where those last few hurdles between us and our divinity may be much closer than we think. We are building the tools that will finally allow us to stop “working” and start truly being… and how scary is that.

So what does all of this mean for you, simply?

It means we are accelerating toward what the tech-priests call a “singularity,”A hypothetical point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible. but what I prefer to call a “quickening.” It is a doorway standing in our future that allows us to step out of the physical dross and into a divine, slightly more energetic reality. But like any good quest, you don’t just teleport to the final boss. You have to cross several smaller, slightly annoying doors first. Each one offers a new freedom, but each one also comes with a hurdle.

The two biggest hurdles you’re facing right now? A paralyzing fear of letting go into a more dynamic monetary system, and—more importantly—the challenge of unifying your subjective and objective realities.

In the simplest terms: you have to realize that in this approaching future, “work” will no longer define who you are. And you may desperately wonder how you survive such a thing, how do you find meaning and a sense of accomplishment in a world no longer defined by work?

Well, remember all those joy-killers who told you your “little hobbies” were worthless? The ones who insisted you stop playing like a child because life is a somber, grey struggle? Well, it turns out they may have been wrong. Dead wrong.

In this fast approaching future, you’ll need that playful nature. You’ll need those “crazy” hobbies. As the traditional jobs we used to toil at evaporate, you will have to reinvent yourself. Not by finding new ways to suffer, but by following your passion with an intensity that would make your old boss nervous.

This is the heart of the change: the blurring of the lines between the subjective and the objectiveThe merging of internal personal thoughts with external physical reality.. What is in your mind and what is in the physical world are starting to merge. Soon, your internal thoughts and your external actions will become so intertwined that you’ll be able to manifest what you think of, what you desire, with greater and greater ease. This is the true meaning of the singularity.

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s becoming harder to tell what is real and what is fake. Between AI, digital realities, and the endless stream of TikTok and YouTube; the boundary between the imaginary and the tangible is dissolving. This is, frankly, a terrifying moment. Why? Because you can no longer look outside of yourself to find the truth. You can’t rely on a news anchor, a badge-wearing official, or a dogma-spewing expert to tell you what “is.” There are no more objective facts to cling to, and it’s easier than ever for people to fool you with silly narratives.

When the world in your head and the world outside become inseparable, you must become stronger! Those AI experts are really just saying, in their own coded language, that you are losing the leash of “the job.” You are becoming far more powerful. The idea that all work will vanish is silly, but the work that remains will need deep spiritual significance. The “subjective essence” of things will be the only thing that matters. Your heart, your drive, and the things you love to do are the only engines that will keep you from falling into a pit of nihilism.

Imagine a poor animal that has been chained in a cage its entire life. Suddenly, someone opens the door. At first, this isn’t a blessing, it’s a curse. The creature shivers in absolute terror at the sheer size of the world. But there is always help, even if you don’t see it.

Stepping out of the cage means trusting your own subjective reality to move past the fear. It means realizing you don’t have to toil for every scrap of existence. As you exit that cage, the challenges will be new, but the possibilities will grow exponentially.

To move forward, simply trust yourself. Ignore the people telling you that you must grind and suffer. Instead, find that sense of play, that spark of joy that makes you feel alive. Use that light to illuminate the path. You are divine; you’ve just been taught to forget it. Find the light within you, and use it to light your way home… just remember to keep your ideas to yourself, work on yourself and let others freely grow their own individual dreams.

Trust yourself. Doubt less, play more.

Since any expert with a webcam can now be a deep-faked puppetA hyper-realistic digital manipulation of a person’s likeness and voice. and any “fact” can be rendered in a server farm, you can no longer look outside for your bearings. As haptics and augmented reality get better, the “reality” of your mind and the “reality” of the flesh are going to collide like two high-speed trains.

The divinity within you is effectively demanding (with the force of a cosmic sledgehammer) that you learn to trust yourself. The old cage is opening, and the leash of the “nine-to-five” struggle is snapping. Our technology is finally allowing us to manifest our thoughts and desires into the physical world with effortless ease.

The “quickening” is simply a call to grow up. The only way forward through the digital fog is to become more yourself, to follow your joy, and to realize that you are the only source of truth you have left. The magic is in your hands; try not to drop it.
