When we hear the term inner alchemy, we may have many different opinions about what this actually means. Generally we can say that inner alchemy is a term that refers to the practice of transforming one’s body, mind and spirit through various techniques and methods.

Most people are only familiar with Asian and Chinese inner alchemy, but the tradition of inner alchemy is far older and there are many branches of this mind science that can be explored. In order to begin it is best to outline the most well-known aspects of this science which is covered relatively well by the Chinese method. Understanding some of these methods can in time help with the mastery of far more complex techniques and methodologies.

 

Inner alchemy in China is also known as neidan, which means “internal elixir” in Chinese. Inner alchemy is based on the idea that there is a vital energy or life force called qi that flows through the human body and the universe. By cultivating and refining this qi, one can achieve health, longevity and spiritual enlightenment.

There are many schools and traditions of inner alchemy, but they generally share some common principles and goals. One of the main principles is the harmonization of the three treasures: jing (essence), qi (energy) and shen (spirit). Jing is the material basis of life, qi is the dynamic force that animates life, and shen is the consciousness or awareness of life. These three treasures correspond to the three realms of existence: earth, heaven, and man. By balancing and integrating these three aspects of oneself, one can transcend the limitations of the physical world and attain a higher state of being.

 

Another principle of inner alchemy is the circulation of qi through the body’s meridians and energy centers. Meridians are channels that connect different organs and parts of the body, while energy centers are focal points where qi accumulates and transforms. The most important energy center in inner alchemy is the dantian, which means “elixir field” in Chinese. The dantian is located in the lower abdomen, below the navel. It is considered to be the source and reservoir of qi in the body. By breathing, meditating and performing exercises such as qigong and tai chi, one can gather, store and circulate qi in the dantian and throughout the body.

 

A third principle of inner alchemy is the refinement of qi into higher forms of energy. This process involves using various techniques such as visualization, mantra, alchemical formulas and sexual practices to purify, sublimate and fuse different types of qi. For example, one can transform jing into qi, qi into shen, shen into emptiness, and emptiness into dao. Dao is the ultimate reality or principle that underlies everything in existence. By returning to dao, one can achieve immortality and union with the cosmos.

Chinese inner alchemy is a complex and profound practice that requires dedication, discipline and guidance from a qualified teacher. It is not a quick or easy way to attain enlightenment or supernatural powers. Rather, it is a lifelong journey of self-cultivation and self-transformation that leads to a deeper understanding of oneself and the universe.

 

But as I have said, inner alchemy is far older than recorded history and has its roots in places that do not currently exist as geographical locations. As such, inner alchemy is not western or eastern but is beyond material geography. For that reason, it is very important to explore other branches of inner alchemy in order to get a better more holistic picture of what this mind science is truly about. It is also the case that in order to delve far deeper into the great depths of the self, we must know and study methodologies that in some ways eclipse what might be termed preliminary energy work.

 

Western inner alchemy, also known as hermetic alchemy or spiritual alchemy, is a branch of esoteric philosophy and practice that aims to transform the human soul into a divine one. Unlike Chinese alchemy, which focuses on the physical body and longevity, western alchemy is more concerned with the spiritual and psychological aspects of the self.

The essence of western inner alchemy can be summarized by the Latin motto “solve et coagula”, which means “dissolve and coagulate”. This refers to the process of breaking down the old and impure elements of the self and recombining them into a new and purified whole. The ultimate goal of this process is to achieve the “philosopher’s stone”, a symbol of spiritual perfection and enlightenment.

 

Western inner alchemy draws from various sources of wisdom, such as ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology, Jewish mysticism, Christian theology, Islamic alchemy, and Renaissance magic. It uses a rich and complex system of symbols, images, colors, metals, planets, and elements to represent the different stages and aspects of the alchemical work. Some of the most famous symbols are the ouroboros (a snake biting its own tail), the mercurial serpent (a winged dragon), the hermaphrodite (a union of male and female), and the phoenix (a bird that rises from its own ashes).

Western inner alchemy is not a dogmatic or rigid doctrine, but rather a personal and experiential path that requires intuition, imagination, creativity, and dedication. It is not a science or an art, but rather a way of life that seeks to harmonize the opposites within oneself and with the cosmos. It is not a religion or a cult, but rather a quest for self-knowledge and self-transformation that leads to a deeper connection with the divine.

 

In my attempt to reveal the true nature of inner alchemy, without symbolism, cipher, riddles or any geographical lens, I have at times used terms from many different sources. I need to use these terms in order to present the fundamental truth of what inner alchemy is, at least in accordance with my current, my house.

In accordance with my perspective (my current), inner alchemy is based on three great secrets: the secret of attention, the secret of energy, and the secret of transformation. The secret of attention is the ability to focus one’s mind on a desired outcome or state, and to avoid being distracted by external influences or internal doubts. The secret of energy is the ability to accumulate, store, and direct one’s own vital force, which I sometimes may term “the essence”. The secret of transformation is the ability to use one’s attention and energy to change one’s own reality, both internally and externally.

 

My current states that inner alchemy is a way of overcoming the negative forces that are trying to consume humanity’s essence and prevent its evolution. These forces have a varied origin but in its apex this force may be termed “the Archon”, which is non-organic entity that feeds on human emotions and thoughts. My current of inner alchemy knows as an energetic fact that the Archon has created a false reality that traps humans in a cycle of fear, ignorance, and suffering. To escape this reality, one must learn how to use inner alchemy to create a new reality that is aligned with one’s true will and purpose.

In my books, in my videos, and on this site, I try to make available the various techniques and practices of my current of inner alchemy, such as meditation, visualization, breathing exercises, dream work, lucid dreaming, astral projection, servitor work, and more. In all of this, I try to emphasize that inner alchemy is not a dogmatic system, but a personal and experimental path that requires constant learning and adaptation.

I was recently asked about the limiting power of words, how verbal language may trap us, how it may restrict and perhaps even be used as a weapon to keep us all down. Well, in past articles and videos I have discussed some of this, but this is such an important topic that any clarification that I could give I think would be helpful.

To understand the limits of words we must understand the totality of ourselves, and the restrictions imposed on us here in this material dimension. I have said in the past that we are multidimensional beings, this means that we are far more than what we seem to be just from the physical perspective alone.

Using our physical eyes and listening only with our physical ears, then it is easy to suppose, to take it for granted, that we are a certain object quite clearly defined and outlined in three dimensional space. With our physical eyes we can see the beginning and the end of us, and we can define ourselves as a physical body that takes up a measurable amount of room within a three dimensional field of space and time. With our physical ears, we can perceive that this body, this object self, seems to have the possibility of creating sounds and through the manipulation of those sounds create a pattern, and a complex syntax, that eventually allows us all to communicate one object to the other.

But from the inner alchemist’s point of view, this is merely a lie of the physical senses, because we are so much more than physical things all gibbering at each other.

Perhaps the best way to explain this is to try to imagine what a dream experience might be like. In a particular dream you might imagine yourself to be someone you are not, in what might seem at the time to be real life to you. For example, in a dream you might be a person that you are not. In a dream you can be a totally different you. And, generally speaking, most people completely forget about the physical existence that they left behind the moment that they start the dreaming process.

Dreams can take us to a whole different world, and in that world, we are oftentimes different people, and in rare occasions we may even find ourselves in completely different worlds with wholly different laws from the ones that rule our waking reality. Moreover, most of us tend to completely forget our dreams, or may remember only slivers of them when we wake up the next morning. And during this dream, if we can remember any of it when we wake up, we may be incredibly fascinated in an odd and sometimes even morbid way, how it is that we can completely forget during that dream that we are something else while we are awake.

In that sense then, dreams can show us that we have the possibility to exist in other places, and while in those places we have this propensity to forget those aspects of ourselves that we left behind. In the same way that in dreams we can forget the physical being that we are while awake, during physical existence we also forget that we are more than just physicality. What I am trying to say is that physical existence is just a dream, and you are forgetting the fact that you are more than this.

This means that we are now dreaming ourselves as being physical beings, we are a dream dreaming itself as a physical person. And just like any dream, while in that dream we forget about the fact that there are different aspects of us that are beyond this dream, that there are aspects of ourselves not bound to the physical world. While we are dreaming physicality, we forget about the fact that there are different aspects of us existing in other places. Our dream self, the physical being that we become while we are dreaming this physical life in a physical world, forgets that we are far more than this. It forgets that we are multidimensional beings, beings of great proportion, and that only slivers of us, only a small sliver of the totality of ourselves, are caught up in a dream we call reality.

While in that dream, we wholeheartedly believe that we are only that physicality. But in the same way that we sometimes seem to wake up a little bit in our dreams, become lucid for small moments, we can sometimes wake up a little during physical existence. In those moments of fleeting lucidity, we may have glimpses of a larger existence, small little glimmers of illumination, that revealed to us in relative ways just how big we are and just how limiting and constricting this current dream is.

The thing about any dream location, is that while there, the gravity of that place makes us forget about everything else, and it also restricts us within a certain parameter of possibilities. Every dream position has a particular set of laws and principles that are to be found in that location and that are very difficult to break. Indeed, the laws of any particular dream position are impossible to overcome if we forget about the fact that we are a dreamer lost in one particular dream position.

While in this physical dream, we feel that we are bound to words, because the only way that we have to communicate, the only way that we even feel that we can communicate with ourselves even, is through these words. Many of us are so lost in this particular dream, that we often feel that words are the only way that we may know and experience reality. While lost in the gravity of this physical dream we are overcome by the trap of this place, and accept the supposed laws of this place without question. The gravity of this dream makes us believe that rationality and the syntax of rationality, the words and terms that we use, is the only thing available to us.

Such a restriction is the gravity of this place. Further, inner alchemists believe that this gravity is additionally compounded by the titanic force of the Archon, which rules this particular dream position. Such a force makes waking up from the dream very difficult.

During physical existence, this dream gravity that we might refer to as rationality, does not only bind us to words and their arrangement, the syntax of rationality, it also actively pits the parts of us that are experiencing this dream against ourselves, so that in the end we become our own worst enemies. This is the great power of the Archon.

Words will never be able to express the totality of what you are, of what the world truly is. They can only help to describe certain aspects of this particular dream position that we are now in. Moreover, since the gravity of this place affects not only us as dreamers, but also all of the dreamers that are here in this particular dream position with us, we must not only contend with our forgetting, we must also contend with the forgetting of everyone else, and the drive within them to try to bend others to the will of this place, the will of this dream position we call physical reality. This is a most important point.

But the moment you can learn to perceive with more than just your physical senses, is the moment that you start to remember the totality of yourself. This will be the moment that you will start to remember the different aspects of yourself that are scattered across different points in space and time, aspects of yourself that are located in different dream positions.

I refer to this ability as seeing, but it can also be experienced through a technique of inner alchemy that I have referred to as the way of the projectionist. Through the development of such personal ability, you can then begin to understand the true reality of your total self, and in doing so the greater perceptive possibilities available to you. Once this happens you will begin to see that words, the syntax of rationality, are wholly and completely inadequate in explaining and describing the totality of who you are, and the total sum of your potential.

Words limit us, they restrict what is possible by telling us that the only things conceivable are those things that they can describe. The syntax of rationality makes us conclude that everything outside of it) is an illusion, delusion, a form of insanity.

But there is so much more to us, there is far more to us that exists beyond this tiny sliver of physical reality. The greater sum of us exists in locations beyond this one particular dream position.

By letting go of those words and learning to perceive energy directly, either through seeing or through the power of the projectionist, we can then begin to realize that there is an incalculable world out there that we can be a part of. If we can let go of those words, we can also slowly but surely begin to participate in a world where we are not just limited objects, that can only manipulate our world in accordance with the gravity of rationality. If we can let go of those words and therefore the gravity of this particular dream position, true magic begins to open up to us.

It is accurate to say that all of my books are designed to try to reveal the magic of the totality of us beyond the syntax of rationality. But in this particular case, in order to understand the gravity of any particular dream position, and more importantly what is needed to be able to go beyond the syntax of rationality that is almost total in this modern world, I would highly recommend the book, The Way of the Projectionist.

Depending on a person’s belief system, each individual may have a different answer to this question.

And even within the bounds of certain belief structures, there are individual ideas about what life after death if any might be like.

Here in the west many of us might believe in a heavenly realm, or a fiery hell. Many people are atheists as well, and such individuals tend to believe that once we experience biological death, we are no more, like biological machines, we just turn off and then that is the end of us. Others may have other beliefs, such as reincarnation and the belief that instead of a heaven or a hell, we pay for the consequences of our actions in a future life where such incarnations may either be positive or negative in accordance with what we have or have not done in past lives.

Often, people may be quite wide-ranging in their beliefs, and may choose to take a little bit from a large pool of belief systems. They may believe in a monotheistic kind of God, but also believe in reincarnation. Some may believe that death is the end of everything as individual beings, but they may believe that the stuff that was us is recycled in a way, that what we were, the plants, the earth, the stars) is what we go back to becoming, and in that sense, they cheat in that way that utter gloom of the atheistic finality.

Whether it is reincarnation, classical heaven and hell, atheistic finality, or any of the number of beliefs that people have about what happens after you die, these beliefs are almost always dogmatic ones.

By dogmatic I mean that in almost every case, all these beliefs are based not on personal experience but on a kind of faith in the general belief systems of the times. Few people claim to have seen past the veil of the material universe. They can only see what their physical senses can reveal to them. For that reason, most believe that such a thing, seeing what happens after death, is fundamentally an impossibility, at least for them, and as such they only have the opinion of experts in this field to rely on.

Such experts can be the clergy and the theology of the times, these experts may also be the intellectuals and the philosophers that are prominent in an era, and they may even be, at least in this modern period, the scientists, and the scientific establishment.

There is certainly nothing wrong with belief in the dogma of the time if such dogma provides hope and a sense of ease in a difficult world. And while these dogma-based belief systems are and have always been, when the human population gets large enough, the main way that people can come to terms with the hardest part of living, which is the dying, you should know that this dogmatic understanding of things is not the only way to understand the after death experience. Belief in faith and faith in belief is not the only way to know about the after death experience.

 

In other cultures, often times cultures that have a closer relation to the earth, there are different ways of knowing, of seeing, the after death experience. There are also different groups, different currents if you like, that while in the midst of large and well organized civilizations, practice traditions, techniques and methodologies, that try to overcome the many hindrances of dogma especially when it comes to the veil of the objective world, the world of matter, and the after death experience, that is, what happens after death.

One such current, is the way of inner alchemy. Such a current has as its main focus the intentionality of first teaching those that are part of that current how to see beyond the veil, the maya, the illusion, of the material world. Once this is possible, which could generally be referred to as being able to see, to be a seer, an Oracle, such an individual is then able to let go of dogma, let go of the established dogmatic beliefs of the times and directly perceive for themselves, what exists beyond physicality and therefore what exists after physical death.

In this video I would like to discuss briefly what these personal direct individual perceptions might be, and I say might be because each individual perception is different being that each individual is fundamentally different. We are individuals, we see differently, we can, away from physicality, perceive slightly differently, and our psychology presents us with different obstacles and allegory, and for that reason the way that we perceive such energetic truth is also highly individual and may involve all sorts of perceptive mechanisms and symbolism that must be explored and plumbed into in order to find the greater reality within the scope of the human grasp of energetic truth.

 

In accordance with the seeing of inner alchemist therefore, the nature of the after death experience is not something that is discovered by studying the general dogma of the times, or by believing what someone else says, even what I am saying right now. It is instead discovered through the ability to see, to perceive energy directly, which can be taught by reading a book, but that must later be used to go beyond all language so that what you know from then on is individual in nature. Once this ability to perceive directly is established, these seers, this confluence of oracles, can then come together and establish a general intentionality, that creates a current, and each individual seer can either participate or not, in accordance with their own highly individual perceptions and actions. The current that I am a part of can be termed the current of inner alchemy.

While it may seem contradictory of me to try to describe such seeing to you, being that in essence this then becomes dogmatic knowledge, sometimes the descriptions of such things, such direct perceptions by the intentionality of inner alchemy for example, can help an individual to tune into their own intuitions, their own highly individual inner feeling sense about what it is that they have somehow always known to be true deep within themselves, and in discovering this inner alignment, they can then choose as individuals to try to perceive directly themselves and after doing so, by the sheer act of such perceptions, join a current in accordance with their own individual intentions.

So, after all of that, from the inner alchemist point of view, from their direct perceptions, what happens to us after we die?

Well, from that group intentionality, from that current, the after death experience in many ways resembles what the general human collective refers to as the dreamscape, the dreamtime. If you want to know what death is like, then all you must do is begin to explore your dreams and the nature of the dreamtime environment that you are part of for a third of your life.

In the dream-scape, in that dimensional zone where dreams are a reality, a real otherworld, you are there yourself and yet you have left your physical body behind. To many, this dreamtime can be quite chaotic and for the most part forgotten, but of the things that you might remember, you might notice that there is incredible flexibility here, and in this place you may partake in many adventures where you might be yourself as you understand yourself within physical space, or you might be completely other selves, at least other instances of yourself that may take forms that may be quite different from what you may consider to be your physical being. While it is generally the case that people tend to only remember those dreams that are coherent enough for them to be perceived as a rational sequence, linear and orderly, it is also the case that many of these dreams can be so expansive and the feelings and perceptions so beyond rational possibility, that such dreams are quite often either completely forgotten, or so beyond the conscious mind that they may never be known to you.

And while it is the case that in this dream reality, perhaps when it comes to the hardest dreams to dream, those dreams that we call nightmares, there is always this sense that you can wake up and return to your physical self, and to the stability and the hardness of the objective, of the object filled world, because no matter how hard both physically and metaphorically this solid world might be, it is still a refuge from the powerful expansiveness of what you truly are and will continue to be after physical death.

With that in mind, now imagine what it might be like to enter a dream, to enter this dream verse where your individuality at times seems to be so strained, so hard to hold and identify, meaning that it can at times be so difficult to maintain your individuality, your individual identity, and then find out that you can never wake up to the physical you ever again. This is death, this is the after death experience, and at least in accordance to the current of inner alchemy, it is a highly complex affair that, like a dream, involves the exploration of quite real and very individually pertinent experiences of the most sensual nature.

Many people believe dreams to be quite ethereal, that is they do not think dreams feel as real in a way as what they considered to be physical reality, and in that sense some people might even believe that the after death experience is a relatively sensually numb one, where, like some kind of wandering phantasm, they are not able to touch or feel as much as they did when they were physically alive. But, as those that can recall dreams quite vividly will tell you, the dream experience is often made up of sensual experiences that often times far surpass anything that could be felt in the physical reality, containing both feelings, sounds, smells, tastes, and visuals that far exceed anything possible in the physical dimension.

The after death experience is a highly complex one that far surpasses any dogmatic belief, and completely redefines any idea of the linear space and time that all current dogmatic beliefs rely on so much. As such, the only way to truly perceive the nature of the after death experience is for you to personally learn to become a Seer, an Oracle, an individual who can perceive energy directly yourself.

The way of inner alchemy is a multifaceted process that involves a great deal of focus and a kind of movement that completely defies both the ar conic mob mind of the times, and any notions of rationality and purely three dimensional mechanical based logic. In order to try to reveal the complexity of these motions, these inner motions of inner alchemy, I have put together a trilogy of course books that reveal the nature of this intentionality without any of the complex symbology and cipher that is usually found when this current is examined.
