How to Fuel the Forge of Reality Creation: The NEVER-MENTIONED Metabolic Price of Manifestation

Most seekers of transformation (manifesting, Law of Attraction, etc.) fall into the seductive trap of believing that conscious creation is a breezy walk through a garden of positive thoughts. They wonder why their reality remains a stagnant monolith despite their affirmations. The truth is a matter of energy. You are about to discover that inner alchemy, contrary to the easy sell, is a demanding task that has more in common with working out than it does with mindless meditation. This is the sacred physics of the inner forge where thoughts become heavy lifting and neurobiology meets the miraculous. Explore the precise energetic cost of your evolution and the exact nutritional alchemy required to fuel your transition from a victim of circumstance to an athlete of consciousness. If you are tired of flickering results and ready to learn why your focus feels like a physical strain, the answers regarding your biological redline await.

  1. The Somatic Ping: You must become an expert tracker of your own discomfort. The moment a negative thought enters the field (your screen), it leaves a “footprint” in the body: a tightening in the solar plexus, a shallowing of the breath, a subtle chill, a negative feeling or emotion.
  2. The Aesthetic Deconstruction: Once identified, you do not fight the thought; you dismantle its power. In your mind’s eye, you grab the image and shrink it. You drain it of its vibrant color until it is a grainy, sepia-toned photograph. You turn the volume down to a tinny whisper. You push it away until it is a tiny, flickering dot on a distant horizon.
  3. The High-Definition Replacement: In that vacuum, you flash the desired reality. This cannot be a limp, vague wish. It must be *hyper-vivid*. It must be bright, panoramic, and pulsating with life.
  4. The Emotional Ignition: This is where the energy is spent. You must reach into your emotional reservoir and pull a surge of warmth, gratitude, or triumph into the present moment. You must replace it with a new thought, a better feeling thought. You are essentially “tricking” your nervous system into believing the future has already arrived. And this is the surface of course, there’s so much more going on than this, but for the sake of this article let us continue from here.
Mental StateBiological DescriptionSubjective EffortEst. Energy Usage (Hourly)
The Idle Mind“Autopilot” mode. Passive thought flow.Negligible~$72,000 J
Brief FocusShifting attention for a few minutes.Low~$80,000 J
Directed Alchemy30 minutes of vivid, emotional “Swooshing.”Moderate/High~$105,000 J*
Master-Level Work1 hour of unbroken, intense redirection.Extreme~$150,000+ J*

  1. Steady-State Glucose: Your focus will shatter if your blood sugar is a roller coaster. You need complex carbohydrates that provide a slow, steady burn. Think of oats, quinoa, pasta, and rice as the “coals” of your inner furnace.
  2. The Myelin Sheath (Healthy Fats): Your neurons are insulated by fat. To speed up thought transmission, you need Omega-3s.
    • Vegetarian Option: Algae-based DHA/EPA supplements, chia seeds, flaxseeds, and walnuts are vital for maintaining the “wiring” of your new reality.
  3. The Building Blocks (Protein): Neurotransmitters (the chemical messengers of thought) are built from amino acids.
    • Vegetarian Option: Tempeh, hemp seeds, lentils, and spirulina provide the raw materials for the dopamine and serotonin required to fuel positive visualization.
  4. Hydration: The brain is roughly 75% water. A dehydration level of even 2% can cause a “brownout” in your cognitive abilities, making it impossible to hold a vivid image for more than a few seconds.
  • Passive Scrolling: The brain is in a state of high-entropy, low-coherence activity. It is “reacting” rather than “acting.” The energy cost is steady and low, roughly 36,000 Joules.
  • Active Inner Alchemy: The brain is in a state of high-coherence, low-entropy activity. You are forcing millions of neurons to fire in a synchronized rhythm to maintain a single image. The energy cost can spike toward 50,000 to 60,000 Joules of concentrated effort.

  • *The Zero-Point Silence:* For five minutes after your visualization, sit in total silence. Do not check your phone. Do not speak. Allow the “energetic dust” to settle.
  • *Magnesium Loading:* Magnesium is the “spark plug” of the body, involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions, including the production of ATP (energy). Intense mental work can deplete magnesium levels quickly.
  • *Vegetarian Magnesium Sources:* Dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao), pumpkin seeds, spinach, and black beans are essential for preventing the “alchemist’s burnout.”
  • Force is the intensity of your emotional charge.
  • Displacement is the distance between your current habitual state and your desired state.

To visualize the sheer amount of work being done, consider the energy required for different human tasks. One Joule is roughly the energy required to lift a small apple (100 g) one meter straight up.

ActivityEnergy Expenditure (Approximate)Alchemical Equivalent
One Heartbeat1 JouleOne singular, fleeting “Swoosh.”
Speaking One Sentence5-10 JoulesBriefly acknowledging a new goal.
Climbing One Flight of Stairs1,500 JoulesA 2-minute burst of vivid, emotional focus.
1 Hour of Intense Meditation250,000 Joules (Total Body/Brain)Re-wiring a foundational belief system.
  • *Dopamine (The Reward Spark):* When you “Swoosh” a negative thought and replace it with a vivid win, your brain releases a pulse of dopamine. This isn’t just a “feel-good” chemical; it acts as a *neural highlighter*, telling the brain, “This new pathway is important so strengthen it.”
  • *Acetylcholine (The Focus Lens):* To keep your visualization from blurring into a daydream, your brain secretes acetylcholine. This chemical increases the “signal-to-noise” ratio in your neurons, allowing your chosen image to stand out against the background static of the world.
  • *GABA (The Noise Filter):* To stay in the work, you must suppress the billions of other neurons trying to remind you of your grocery list or your taxes. GABA is the inhibitory neurotransmitter that “muffles” the rest of the brain so the alchemical work can proceed in peace.

To keep these chemical levels high without (with vegetarian options), the alchemist must be intentional about micronutrient density.

  • *For Dopamine:* Consuming L-Tyrosine is non-negotiable. You can find this in high concentrations in pumpkin seeds, lima beans, and almonds. Without it, your “Swoosh” will lose its punch, and your motivation will wither.
  • *For Acetylcholine:* You need *Choline*. Nothing better than a nice egg, and excellent plant-based sources include *broccoli, cauliflower, and organic soy*. Think of choline as the “ink” for your mental printer; without it, the images you try to project will be faint and ghostly.
  • *For Nerve Conductivity:* *Vitamin B12* and *Folate* are the “insulation” for your wires. For the vegetarian, *nutritional yeast* and *dark leafy greens (kale, spinach, collards)* are the primary tools for ensuring that your internal signals don’t “short circuit” under high voltage.
  1. The Fasted Focus: Many inner alchemists find that their most vivid “Swooshing” occurs in a fasted state or after a light, clean meal. This is because the body is not diverting 15-20% of its blood flow to the digestive tract. By keeping the blood in the brain, you provide more oxygen for the “Heavy Lifting” of visualization.
  2. The Ionic Charge: Your brain operates on the movement of ions (Sodium, Potassium, Calcium). To keep your “battery” from dying, ensure you are replenishing electrolytes.
    • A glass of water with a squeeze of fresh lime and a pinch of high-quality sea salt can provide the electrical conductivity needed to keep your mental imagery from “short-circuiting.”
  3. The Sensory Deprivation Technique: To lower the amount of “noise” your GABA must filter out, perform your deep work in a dark, quiet room. By reducing the external “Joules” the brain has to spend processing background noise, you can funnel 100% of that energy into your desired reality.

For those who seek to master the gaps between the physical and the greater realm, I recommend the book, Overcoming The Archon Through Alchemy. There, the techniques of energy acquisition and redirection are expanded into a full system of liberation, turning the “Athlete of Consciousness” into a true Master of Reality.

This is a very informative and useful article. A lot of what’s laid out here is not, to my knowledge, readily available elsewhere. I would personally recommend that if you ever publish second editions of your books, you include this information in them.

This was a very timely article for me. Specific to the food requirements, do you have any input on using supplements to achieve required daily amounts? I’ve looked into absorption rates and other aspects of taking them, but is there a downside to synthetic versions of these compounds from the perspective of Inner Alchemy?

Well honestly this is a really difficult topic to write about in any way because of issues having to do with disclaimers and the like.
Generally speaking I would say that from the inner alchemy point of view, the farther something is from nature (that is nots naturally derived) the harder it is for the body to work with it. But this of course needs to be examined carefully in each situation being that certain compounds rarely, sometimes never, exist in nature.
      An inner alchemist seeks purity.

I appreciate your articles. They help a lot.
This article in particular made me more aware of having to manage my energy, especially in the biological sense of nutrition.
The most intriguing part was the mention of a transition from the physical to the metaphysical at the end. I realize that my fixation on the metaphysical can cause problems, as I neglect the fundamental physical that I still mainly operate from.

My prefrontal cortex is either missing or severely underdeveloped. Meaning that I have zero focus of attention. My visual cortex is better, but still severely underdeveloped. However, I have engaged in manifestation work during the last winter. It was so unbelievable… But I knew what was happening. I could clearly see my footprints in those events. Therefore, I guess my limbic system must be an extraordinary one, because my manifestations have been successful so far. Instead of unrelenting focus of attention fueled by emotional charge, I just attach my intent to the emotional charge and carry out the session in a very short period of time. From my personal experience I can say that taking a nap after the feeling of energetic exhaustion is the golden key that increases the effectiveness of the session significantly. I don’t see it as “re-charge” though. I feel like if I don’t take that nap, my intent becomes weak and less effective.

    Hi John,

How important is visualization really in the grand scheme of things?

I’ve been reading your books and articles almost daily so I’ve gained a whole lot of knowledge and it seems to me that if people would invest their time in removing and replacing their beliefs from which they operate manifestation would naturally follow. In overcoming the archon there is also much of the energy work which helped me immensely to walk around this matrix and I also did much of the energy absorption techniques. I also got your magnum opus trilogy and read the first book where I also managed to use to absorb some previous events which caused traumas in my daily life. So at least to me all of those building blocks built a great foundation for further improving myself as inner alchemist. Because of all that I’m kinda confused where does visualization come in play. When we fix ourselves from the inside then it seems that life leads you wherever you need to be at that time and with all the tools you gave us in the books we can overcome anything really since action is the language this dimension speaks and visualization to me look like passively waiting for things to happen.

P.S. I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, your book and this blog resonate greatly with me and reading the stuff you write is really a treasure.

      Thank you very much Toni.
You are doing the work, and that is what matters. You are not just reading but applying, and that is the mark of someone who is truly beginning to move as an inner alchemist.
To answer your question directly, visualization is important, but it is not the central pillar of inner alchemy. It is one tool among many. Some people need it often, others barely need it at all. Its importance depends on how your own inner structure organizes itself. Visualization is simply a way of giving shape to inner substance when that substance needs a clear form. It is not passive waiting. It is a deliberate act when used correctly. But it is not required at every stage, and it is not the foundation of the work.
The deeper issue here is the difference between belief structures and thoughts. Belief structures are the scaffolding. They are the great framework that gives rise to thoughts. When you change a belief structure you change the entire foundation that produces your thoughts. This can shift your reality very quickly. So yes, changing beliefs can change almost everything.
But the problem is that the Archonic radiofrequency exists. This is the darkness that presses into the mind. It behaves like a constant broadcast. And here is where language fails us. People hear the term internal dialogue and they think it must be words. They think it must be a voice speaking sentences. But internal dialogue does not have to be words. It can be feelings. It can be pictures. It can be impulses. It can be emotional tones. It can be combinations of these that are very hard to describe with the limited vocabulary we have for the psyche. This is why the language is dodgy. We are trying to describe something that does not fit neatly into the words we have.
Some people do hear it as a voice, and this is where the Shepherd of Hermas becomes relevant. In that text there is the idea of two presences, one of righteousness and one of iniquity, like an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. This is a very old way of describing the fact that there is a broadcast of iniquity that tries to influence the mind. It is not always a voice. It can be any form of internal chatter. But it is always there, and it is always trying to alter the scaffolding.
This is the subtlety of the voice of iniquity. It does not always attack the whole belief structure. It often attacks the small units that make up the structure. It can shift a core belief by a slight degree. It can alter a foundational unit within the scaffolding. And that slight shift can change the entire structure. This is the Archonic stranglehold. It works through nuance. It works through small adjustments that most people never notice.
Because of this, the inner alchemist does not fully trust the BS of life. Belief structures can be manipulated quickly by the external world. They can be influenced in ways that are so subtle that you may not notice the shift until it has already taken root. If you only work at the level of belief structures you may find yourself constantly repairing them, constantly adjusting them, constantly trying to keep up with the intrusions of the Archonic broadcast.
This is why inner alchemy sometimes requires working with individual thoughts. A thought is a unit you can catch in the moment. You can see it as it arises. You can redirect it before it gathers emotional power. You can stop it before it becomes part of the scaffolding. This is far easier than trying to rebuild the entire structure every time something shifts. Working with thoughts gives you a way to interrupt the process before the Archonic frequency has a chance to embed itself into the belief structure.
So where does visualization fit into all of this. Visualization is simply one method for shaping a thought or an emotional tone into a more deliberate form. It is a tool for directing the inner current when the inner current needs a clear image to follow. But if your belief work and your energy work are already guiding your life effectively, then visualization may not be central for you. It may be something you use only when a thought needs a more defined shape.
Each inner alchemist must find the method that works with their own psyche. The vocabulary we have for the psyche is limited, so each person must interpret these processes in the way that makes sense to them. You are clearly finding a method that works for you, and that is what matters. Visualization is important when it is needed. It is not required when the inner current is already moving in the right direction. The real work is awareness of thoughts, awareness of belief structures, and awareness of the Archonic radiofrequency that tries to influence both.

        Thanks for clarification.

I also use it daily for inner work and like you said it is a great tool. I somehow put it on pedestal and did not consider it as one of the possible tools but gave it much more importance. That caused me to think what am I missing that everyone talks about when I’m seeing result with doing other work also. It’s one of the most used terms and you also talk about it a lot and this article ignited a spark.

Inner alchemy really is a hard work and when numbers are put on graph like here alchemists look like they are preparing for the olympics. Sometimes I take few days off but not like shut down more like de-load in weight training to let everything settle down and get my energy levels back up while doing some light work. Like you wrote, every time it gets a bit easier to do it and uses less power. Is it overwhelming at times, absolutely but rewards are so good that it’s like some perpetuum mobile machine powering itself whenever I learn something I want more.
